Rated 1 out of 5 by from Should be taken off the shelves IMMEDIATELY I paid $12 for this and I’m still paying for it months later. I needed a new cleansing balm and I’ve always used Zero brand but had a coupon for this so figured it’d be fine since Neutrogena has always prided itself in being dermatologist tested/recommended. Upon opening I wasn’t impressed with the hard, waxy texture. It took work to scrape it out and get it to “melt” in my hands. It burned my eyes BADLY. I was under the impression it was safe to rub over your eyes for eye makeup removal, but apparently not because OUCH. I continued using it for about a week steering clear fro my eyes (which was inconvenient) and afterwards, I always double cleansed with cerave facial cleanser. I started getting horrible cystic acne and then thousands of small bumps ALL over my face. I couldn’t leave my house. I had to go to the dermatologist for the first time in my life. They told me the waxy ingredients of this crappy “cleansing balm” settled into my pores and have essentially blocked every single pore in my face. I can’t even look at myself in the mirror right now. I’m livid, angry and will never buy ANY Neutrogena product ever again after this nightmare and hundreds of dollars of derm costs later

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Get the Makeup Remover Cleansing Balm Instead I got this balm instead of the one I usually get because it was out of stock, and I don't know if there's been a recent change of formula, but I do not recommend this balm. It's thick, smells bad, feels drying, and is difficult to apply as it does not spread evenly on the skin. If you use this, make sure to use a second water-based cleanser to get the residue off. Their Make-up Remover Cleansing Balm is infinitely better and also removes waterproof makeup. I will be returning to that one ASAP.
